Undergraduate Research Assistant
Boston University (class of 2027)
I am a junior majoring in Neuroscience and minoring in Public Health. My love for the brain can be traced back to as early as middle school, but it wasn’t until I interned at SUNY Downstate Health Sciences University that I developed an interest for neuroscience research. During my time in Dr. Juan Marcos Alarcón’s lab, I investigated the connection between Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and Sleep Disorders in mouse models using ex vivo electrophysiology. Ever since then, I’ve looked for opportunities to continue working with animal models in neuroscience research, which led me to my current position as a Research Assistant at the Meyer Lab.
In Spring 2025, I will work on a project to explore the role of prelimbic cortex parvalbumin inhibitory interneurons (PL PVIs) during behavioral flexibility. Next year, I hope to fulfill a Senior Thesis in Neuroscience. I am excited to contribute to ongoing research within the Meyer lab and pick up new techniques in the field.
Outside of school, I like to knit, crochet, and explore new restaurants in Boston.
